Alice by Heart
"When the madness of the world is too much to bear, we take refuge in the stories we love." Alice

In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down when she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station.

When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice’s ‘by heart’ rendition of Lewis Carroll’s, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” helps the pair find their way to Wonderland.  With assistance of beloved characters including the Cheshire Cat, March Hare and the Queen of Hearts, they travel through the magical tale, exploring the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward.

From the team that created Spring Awakening, Alice by Heart is a whimsical, utterly transporting musical with an exhilaratingly beautiful score, not to be missed.
